JaiDei Jackson, LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, a Prepare Enrich Facilitator and a Certified Public Accountant. For more than a decade, I have provided therapy to men, women, families, couples, teens, and adolescents. I have received extensive educational training from my Master's Degree course work at Argosy University, and additional training in areas such as Understanding & Empowering Men and Making Sense of Men.
My theoretical model is cognitive behavior therapy. I believe how people think gives them how they feel and their feelings dictate their behavior and their behavior generates their results. If you want a different result you first have to explore, processing and then change your thinking.
I provide a holistic & integrative approach for couples, families or individuals to explore relationship problems, challenges & issues. I work with people who are seeking deeper connections & intimacy with their significant other.
I assist people in developing more effective relationship skills & in dealing with the issues that arise when our relationships are unsuccessful. The couple’s therapy model I use is Prepare Enrich. Research has shown Prepare Enrich to be highly successful in helping blended families, pre-marital couples and married couples who are in conflict.
I work with my clients in a collaborative, engaged & interactive manner. My view on therapy is it’s a temporary state with lifelong benefits. My role is to support you in moving beyond the pain, hurt, disappointment, frustration, and confusion to one of clarity, healing, and forgiveness.
The success of our relationship is the main determinant of how healthy we are emotionally. I assist people in developing more effective relationship skills & to deal with the issues that arise when our relationships are unsuccessful. I assist people in tapping into their inner wisdom in order to make healthy choices.
My therapy style is active, conversational & results oriented. I am interested in clients who are interested in exploring personal growth & development, conflict resolutions, communication skills, and couples (married & pre-marital). I help clients identify their strengths, clarify goals and make healthy choices. I use various therapeutic techniques, Prepare/Enrich relationship assessment and skill building tools plus other creative interventions to assist in facilitating change & growth. Therapy is about an inward journey and not a destination. I assist people in developing more effective relationship skills & in dealing with the issues that arise when our relationships are unsuccessful.
